He was vice-captain and veteran midfielder. Ambrossini has a contract until 2010 and is a hard working defensive minded midfielder. Massimo Ambrosini started his professional career with Italian Serie B side Cesena in the 1994-1995 season when he was only 17 years after one season and was signed by Italian giants AC Milan, who later coached by Fabio Capello. Ambrosini was facing some difficulties to break into the first team in Milan in the first few seasons, and even sent on loan to Vicenza in the 1997-1998 season, but since then he has been a regular for Milan and has grown to become one of the most vital player for Milan. He has made over 200 appearances for AC Milan in his tenure at the club. Ambrosini has a few titles with AC Milan. He has won the Italian Serie A 1996.1999, Coppa Italia, 2003, UEFA Champions League 2003 and 2007. Massimo Ambrosini has won 29 international trophies to Italy. He made his international debut against Croatia in 1999 and played in the final of Euro 2000.
